How to Apply Wax Your Car

You want your baby to look the best. And a nice coating of wax
can make all the difference, helping keep your car looking fresh and new. Now, applying wax requires some work and knowledge. So, let's get started.

The first step to applying wax to your car is to wash the car with soap and water. This is the perfect preparation before you apply wax. Washing your car will remove all dirt and leave your car ready.

About the Wax to Use

There are many wax products out there. Some of the most effective products, however, also contains carnauba. Carnauba is an ingredient that comes from the leaves of a Brazilian palm. The Carnauba wax consists of fatty acid esters, fatty alcohols, and hydrocarbons. One of the reasons why carnauba wax is so effective is because it has  very high melting point and it's nearly insoluble in water and ethanol.

Now, it is time to apply some wax on a damp sponge and using a gentle circular motion, to apply the wax over a section of the car. It is important to follow the instructions that come with the wax, as it is necessary to let the wax sit for a few minutes, but not too long for it to dry out. Following the instructions will save you from these headaches.

After applying the wax on a section of your car, use a cotton cloth/rag to remove the wax and polish the car. As you continue to remove the wax layer, you will start to see the paint begin to shine more.

Continue applying the wax section by section and removing it using your cotton cloth or rag. The final result will be a fresh and clean look on your car.
